The video quality is kinda reminiscent of watching television in the 70s, but Gavin Degraw’s acoustic performance of his hit, I Don’t Want To Be is worth posting (even if it was recorded on a phone). This is a fully unplugged rendition of a great song and delivered with pure passion! Check out his Stripped CD, from a few years back, for more raw cuts of his hits!

Are the Red Hot Chili Peppers are just hanging out somewhere in the boonies on a hot summer day here!? What a great band, and very  cool to watch them just sit and chill out by the water while they do an acoustic version of Under The Bridge.  Clips like this of famous artists are always interesting to watch, because you realize they’re just normal dudes who happen to write killer music!

Well, since a few of you emailed and expressed your appreciation for the Little Wing Tapping, I thought I’d add one more amazing acoustic guitar tapping video. This one is by Erik Mongrain. How do you even go on after watching this if you are struggling with barre chords? No, I’m just kidding, it’s inspirational, and it’s just fun to watch too!

Carlos Vamos does an amazing job tapping his way through an awe-inspiring version of Jimi Hendrix’s Little Wing on acoustic guitar.  The video was filmed from 4 different angles so you can get an idea of what he’s doing, and attempt to slow it down and learn it if you want to. It’s quite impressive!

Even if you don’t like country rock music, it’s pretty tough not to like Steve Earle’s Copperhead Road. That song made it ok for young rock fans in the early 90s to like a country song and not be ridiculed by their friends. Steve always had kind of a rock star swagger about him anyway and apparently, he lived the lifestyle of one for quite a while which eventually landed him in rehab. Check out this guy play a great rendition of Copperhead Road on his acoustic guitar.
