Listen to cellist turned acoustic guitarist/comedian Rob Paravonian rant about how much he hates arguably the most recognizable – and definitely the most repetitive – classical piece of all time. Paravonian’s theory about Canon’s cello part has sent musicologists of 17th century Germany on a frantic search for further evidence of poor Johann’s heartbreak at the hands of a femme fatale cellist.

Here’s blues guitar legend Stevie Ray Vaughan playing an acoustic version of his hit song Pride and Joy. Take a look at how relaxed his hands are – thumb up over the neck, fingers coming several inches off the fretboard and hammering down to emphasize the rhythm – without sacrificing any precision. Part of his MTV Unplugged set, this song was recorded just months before his tragic death in a plane crash. Vaughan’s last performance featured a jam with Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, and his brother Jimmie. ┬áNot a bad way to go out.
