You have to give anybody credit just for attempting to pull off a cover of Amy Lee’s vocals (from Evanescence) and this girl deserves a round of applause for an excellent job. She doesn’t try to copy Amy, and has her sound nicely wrapped into a cool acoustic version of My Immortal. There are a couple mistakes in the lyrics for you picky types, but she posted that she was aware of a few rough spots and is pretty humble about her talent. I thought it was fantastic overall and looking forward to more from her!

The Queens of the Stone Age, known for their heavy, haunting melodies, demonstrated in 2007 at 3voor12 in Amsterdam that any good heavy song holds up unplugged when necessary. Behold, their acoustic version of 3’s and 7’s. This item is one of their less heavy songs, but the electric version sure as hell isn’t Paul Simon stuff either. Josh Homme’s modal writing style is enchanting, if not hypnotic. Exercise caution everyone, if you listen to this too many times you might get pregnant.

There are many more QOTSA acoustic versions out there, including their big loud songs. If you want to see them here, give this video a high rating below and sound off in the comments!
