A while back we posted Jeff Clark performing a very entertaining, high-energy acoustic version of Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean. More recently we showed you Chris Cornell playing his dark masterpiece, Black Hole Sun. We’ve since put the two in a blender and what came out was a brooding interpretation of the classic pop tune which seemed surprising until we remembered it’s Chris Cornell we’re talking about here (“cheerful,” to Cornell, is like “fun” to Mr. Burns: Cheerful? Is that how it’s pronounced? I’ve only seen it written.). Besides, the King of Pop had a definite taste for the sinister himself – Thriller, anyone?
