What’s cooler than cool? ICE COLD! This bearded dude (Mat Weddle of Obadiah Parker), doing an acoustic version of Outkast’s Hey Ya, is a perfect example of an artist doing a cover of a popular song their way and creating something special. Not only does he do a great job at making this song his own, but he’s bang on with Andre 3000’s craziness when he spits out about 15 “all rights” that seem to flow in perfect time with the original version. You can see what I mean throughout the clip as the original version of the Hey Ya video has been edited to fade in and out of his acoustic performance.

If you want to play it yourself, you can watch another guy’s version with a close up of the chords and an easy Hey Ya tab.
