The Town Hall in Manhattan is a great performance space. Originally built to nurture public education and political activism, its excellent acoustic properties were quickly noticed and have since been used to great effect by musicians as diverse as Sergei Rachmaninoff, Louis Armstrong, Bob Dylan, and Ben Folds. The acoustics and theater-style seating make for a very intimate concert setting, as seen in this video of the late Elliott Smith playing his song Independence Day. The clip starts with Elliott tuning his guitar to a variation of Open C – CGCEGC – before jumping right into the intro, a very cool and inventive instrumental melody.

I’m creating a music video for an acoustic guitar piece for my media A level and so if you could take two minutes out of your time to answer my poll it would be a great help. Thank you!
