John Mayer performs a superb acoustic version of Neon, live at the Soundstage in 2005. Check out the killer solo in the middle of the song. If you happen to be unfamiliar with John Mayer’s stuff, check out his albums! Neon is from Room For Squares, but he has several other great albums with a ton of great acoustic music. If you’re hangin’ around, check out the older post a guy doing a pretty cool cover of Waiting On The World To Change (an acoustic version of course!)!

This is great! I am an independent singer songwriter and I learn a lot from reading blogs like this – thanks so much for sharing.

Great performance video, and great solo on this. As someone who works for a website that teaches acoustic guitar lessons for beginners, it’s great to see a contemporary acoustic performance that is relevant to our times. If you are interested in the acoustic guitar, please stop by our site and take a look around. We have a lot of free promos on our site and access to some free full length trial lessons as well. To access the full length trial lessons go to http://strum1.com. Thanks again for the great post, and thanks for letting me post here. We hope to be able to share more with you in the future.
